Cricut Maker

Cricut 3 is a smart cutting machine that work with an easy-to-use software, a vast collection of materials, and crafting tools to help anyone design and personalize almost anything.

Review the full safety features and guidelines here (available in several languages).

  • Place cover on all sharp crafting tools when not in use.
  • Use caution when using cutting, scoring, and/or engraving tools.
  • Turn the machine off when changing blades.
  • Use caution when opening and closing clamps to change out cutting blades.
  • Do not forcefully pull or push any materials through the Cricut, even if/when it stops running.
  • Do not touch the mat guide or material during cutting.
  • Keep loose clothing, hair, jewelry, and other items that could get caught, away from the machine while it is operating.
  • This product is not intended for use by children. When using the product, children should be under constant supervision by an adult responsible for their safety.

General Safety Reminders

  • Identify where the first aid kit and fire extinguishers are located. 
  • Do not make any abrupt movements; be cautious of your surroundings.
  • Inform a staff member if something doesn't work. If you know how to fix the problem, fix it with the staff member, but you should not attempt to repair the equipment.
  • Be respectful of the space, equipment, materials, other users, and facilitators/staff who may be assisting.
  • Ask questions and view the information within this guide if you are unsure about any equipment in the space.

To get started using Cricut you will need to create a free account at Cricut Design Space. Design Space is the free software used with Cricut smart cutting machines. This software is downloaded and ready to use on our computers. Or download the software at home, sign up for an account, and design a project. When your design project is ready, come in and produce the finished product.
