New to borrowing eBooks from the library? One of the main ways we lend out eBooks to our patrons is by using a digital service called Overdrive. All you need is a library card and an internet connection. The app version of Overdrive (for phones, iPads and other devices) is called Libby. This video will give you an introduction to borrowing eBooks from Overdrive using the Libby app. The video also provides a great tour of the app, along with some tips and tricks.
If you want help with eBook borrowing, go to our eLibrary support page, and click on "open a new ticket." We'll email you back, or call you on the phone to help you through the process.
For general questions, email Ask A Librarian, and we'll email or phone you back.
You can register for a FREE library card online. Go to getthecard.nlpl.ca or check out the video below for instructions. We will email you a barcode number that you can use immediate for our digital collections. Your physical library card will sent to you in the mail.
