Looking for some new or favorite movies or TV shows? The Newfoundland and Labrador Public Library has the largest collection of DVDs in the whole province! You can borrow up to 6 DVDs at a time!

Thanks to the generosity of local NL business, TimeMasters INC. in St. John's, the public libraries now have over 300 board games to borrow and enjoy! You can borrow up to 6 games at a time!

The SunLife Financial Musical Instrument Lending Library at the A.C. Hunter Public Library.

  • Musical instruments may only be borrowed from the A.C. Hunter Public Library. Instruments must be returned to the A.C. Hunter Public Library during opening hours. For a full list of instruments click HERE. 
  • The borrowing period is 4 weeks. An instrument may be renewed once as long as there are no holds.
  • Late fees are $1 per day.
  • Holds may be placed on instruments. Once notified of a hold, patrons have 3 days to pick it up.
  • One instrument may be checked out at a time.
  • NLPL library cardholders are responsible for maintaining and returning instruments in good condition. If it is not returned, or is damaged, a replacement or repair cost may be applied to your account.

Book Club Kits

While most of our book club kits live at the A.C. Hunter Public Library in St. John's, they are still available to you no matter where you are! Ask your local librarian for more information, and check out our full list of kits HERE.

Video Games 

The A.C. Hunter Library in St. John's is home to a small and fun collection of video games! Games work on XBox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation3, PlayStation4, Wii U, Nintendo Switch.
