Most multilingual books are located at the A.C. Hunter Library in St. John's, but can be borrowed from any public library location in the province. Ask your local staff to place a request for you.

Many of these resources are a result of The Welcome Project, a community consultation project aimed at making our libraries more welcoming for newcomers. The project used a process based loosely on Participatory Budgeting, and the top priorities identified by our community participants were: translation of library materials into the languages most spoken in our province, purchase of multilingual picture books for children, and outreach visits.
