Memory Care Kits
Memory Care Kits are designed for those living with dementia and their care partner. The unique items included in each themed kit encourage conversation, spark memories, and provide engaging interactions. Some items are intended to spark memories of life experiences, favourite pastimes or special times.
Kits can include: an interactive game or activity, conversation cards, a photo book, a jigsaw puzzle, a CD, a DVD, an audio book, a large print book, and an educational book so you and your care partner can learn more about the journey of dementia. Some kits in Gander include fidget blankets.
Memory Care Kits are available in Gander, Corner Brook, Pasadena, Port au Port, Stephenville, and St. John's. If you live in one of these areas see the Library Catalogue to place a request (not all kits are accessible beyond the owning library).
