Description of Programs

Listed below are Newfoundland and Labrador Public Libraries province-wide programming plans for summer 2022.  A number of online programs will be hosted on our Newfoundland and Labrador Public Library YouTube channel and also shared in this guide - you will want to visit here often, in addition to your local library's Facebook page.
 
Each week the following will be offered:
  • Monday: Summer Reading Challenges

Each week Emily Blackmore, Children's and Youth Services Librarian, will provide a challenge to encourage children and families to read throughout the summer. Participate in these weekly challenges and notify Emily by email, at eblackmore@nlpl.ca, to be entered to win an exciting weekly prize. Weekly challenge videos will be added to the Weekly Challenge page every Monday.

 

 

  • Thursday: Summer Reading Storytime or Summer Fun Activity Video!

    A short storytime, recorded by Newfoundland and Labrador Public Library Staff from across the province, or an an exciting and engaging activity will be shared weekly as well. Spend time as a family completing activities and get further inspiration from the books suggested
